Fueled by faith, our Purpose is to assist the vulnerable population transitioning from foster care into successful, independent adulthood. Youth aging out of foster care face significant challenges as they navigate the transition into adulthood. From housing instability and limited access to education and employment opportunities to a lack of emotional and financial support, these vulnerable individuals often battle with an array of obstacles as they strive for independence and self-sufficiency.
-
20% of kids that age out of foster care instantly become homeless and the numbers are rising. Everyone should have a safe place to sleep at night.
Our prime initiative is to provide safe, affordable housing so these young adults are able to focus on building life skills, furthering their education, and healing.
Our longterm goal is to create a tiny home neighborhood where foster kids can create their own community.
-
Through mentorship, group activities, meal gatherings and more, we are providing opportunities for these individuals to create lasting relationships and memories.
-
Farm127 partners with coaches and mentors to provide foster youth with therapy, financial literacy, trade skills and more. By offering these services, we can reduce the chances of the following:
Foster youth are 4 times more likely to attempt suicide
80% experience mental health issues; 25% PTSD
97% enter into chronic poverty and 47% are unemployed
Bridging the gap between foster care and independent adulthood. Be a part of the change.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our community, faith, and service partners, as well as our faithful donors.
Partnerships are critical to the impact and success of FARM127’s mission. Collaboration is key. We can better serve young people aging out of foster care together, as a community.
