The 127 Initiative

Bridging The Gap …

Building a community of support because no one should have to walk alone.

Our Vision

A community where young adults aging out of foster care learn to thrive and know they are valued.

Our Mission

Fueled by biblical faith, our mission is to encourage, train, and nurture young adults aging out of foster care toward purpose-filled, productive adulthood.

Housing

20% of kids that age out of foster care instantly become homeless and the numbers are rising. Everyone should have a safe place to sleep at night.

Our prime initiative is to provide safe, affordable housing so these young adults are able to focus on building life skills, furthering their education, and healing.

Our longterm goal is to create a tiny home neighborhood where foster kids can create their own community.

Community

Through mentorship, group activities, meal gatherings and more, we are providing opportunities for these individuals to create lasting relationships and memories.

Counseling

Farm127 partners with coaches and mentors to provide foster youth with therapy, financial literacy, trade skills and more. By offering these services, we can reduce the chances of the following:

  • Foster youth are 4 times more likely to attempt suicide

  • 80% experience mental health issues; 25% PTSD

  • 97% enter into chronic poverty and 47% are unemployed
