We’re glad you’re here.
You are important.
You are not alone.
The process
If you are 18–22 and aging out of foster care, FARM127 may be able to help you take the next step toward housing stability, practical support, mentorship, and community.
The process from application to being placed in an apartment can be as short as 1 week and as long as 1 month depending on how quickly you respond communicate with us and current availability of services and service coordinators.
01 - Apply
Fill out the FARM127 application online form.
02 - Meet and talk
Schedule an interview and see if we might be able to help you with our services.
03 - Sign and start
If it’s a fit, you sign an agreement that gives you access to our services.
04 - Get support
Once you are placed in an apartment, we talk through other support we can provide you.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the savior - so He’s really the only one that can transform us. We want to walk alongside of you and show you what it looks like to be a Christian in today’s world. You don’t have to be Christian to be in our program, but we are all Christians so you will hear about Him a lot.
-
We will talk with you about housing options and help you find a place to stay.
-
We know you might need some things to feel safe and cared for. We can help with that.
-
Adulting is hard. Seasoned adults are often bad at it. Doing things like networking, setting boundaries, saying no, and emotional intelligence are things we all have to work on.
-
Money helps you reach your goal. Making money is not the goal. Skills like managing debt, saving, budgeting, and living below your means are incredibly simple concepts, but extremely difficult to follow.
-
We can connect you with educational opportunities and provide financial assistance for any costs associated with training or course work.
-
We have trained mentors ready to create long lasting, supportive relationships.
-
We have partnerships with other non-profits in the community and will help you get connected to any of their services and programing.
Defining the relationship (DTR)
We want to get to know you before we invest in you. Part of that process will include filling out an application and us walking you through an agreement that includes basic expectations we have of you in return for providing services. Our only “charge” to you is that you promise to be a responsible adult while under our care. We outline that in our FARM127 Young Adult Agreement.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
All you have to do is sign an agreement that helps us define our relationship with you. We want the very best for you so there are certain things that we ask of you in order to make sure you are growing and being responsible.
-
Yes, this agreement is a contract in the sense that it clearly explains what FARM127 is offering, what you are agreeing to, and what expectations need to be met for services to continue.
But this is not the kind of contract that is meant to trap you, control you, or force you to “give” FARM127 something. You are not signing away your rights. You are not promising money, labor, or anything that belongs to you. You are also not required to stay in FARM127 services if you no longer want support.
The purpose of this agreement is clarity. FARM127 wants you to know what support may be available, what responsibilities come with that support, and what kinds of behavior could cause services to be paused or ended.
By signing, you are saying: “I understand what FARM127 is offering, I understand what is expected of me, and I agree to participate honestly and respectfully while receiving support.”
FARM127’s goal is not to punish you. The goal is to create a safe, trustworthy, and supportive environment where everyone knows what to expect.
-
You don’t have to - but it’s what gets you access to our services. The agreement is only if you want access to the services and teaching we provide. If there is another program out there that has more agreeable terms for you, we want to make sure you have that option.
-
We are not a government program. We are not an institution. We are not here to “fix” people in our own strength.
FARM127 is a community of Christ followers seeking to obey His call to care for the fatherless and make disciples. Our faith does not mean we are perfect. In fact, we know we are broken too. That is why we do not place our hope in better systems, stronger effort, or our ability to change someone’s life.
We believe real healing, growth, and purpose come from God. Our role is to create a safe, steady, Christ-centered place where young adults are seen, supported, discipled, and reminded that they are made in the image of God. We walk alongside them with practical help, honest relationships, and patient encouragement—trusting God to do the deeper work only He can do.
-
We love you enough to hold you accountable to your word. Breaking the agreement will end your access to FARM127. Also, if you change your mind and want to leave the program at any time you are welcome to do so.
